This traditional cast iron hold down provides a fast, effective way to control stock on the bench top for carving, sanding, routing, or any chore where quick-release positive control is required. Just slip the 14" long shank into a 3/4" hole in the bench surface, set the large 2" x 2" pad (8" maximum reach) on the work and give the holdfast a smart rap to set it firmly in place. A light tap releases it instantly. It works in surfaces of 2" or greater thickness.

Bench dog is for securing work when used in conjunction with a vise dog; steel dog fits 3/4" hole in bench top.

Round Bench Dogs are suitable additions to any existing or new workbench. By drilling 3/4˝ holes at regular intervals, you can turn the top of our bench into a versatile clamping table. Our round bench dogs are milled from aluminium stock with a side spring to support height adjustment. The face is cross hatched faces, off set several degrees from the vertical to firmly hold your work. They are 4-3/4˝ long with a 11/16" x 1-1/4˝ work face and suitable for benches up to 4˝ thick.

The Hold Down Clamp slides in the T-Track and quickly secures with the turn of the knob. By turning the clamp head 180° to the work piece, the clamp offers a dual capacity of 0" to 2” on one side and 0” to 3” on the other side. Once the track is installed on your router table or drill press table, you can utilize these hold downs for maximum holding pressure. You can use the hold downs in HD t-track (3/8” bolt) or mini t-track (1/4” bolt).

The post quickly mounts to most drill press tables or workbenches. On the drill press a bolt passes through the table and is secured with a large ring nut. Hardware is also provided to be used in 3/4" hole on your workbench to secure stock (photo above). Hold down pressure is provided by the cam action clamp on the head which features a 1-1/2" dia. rubber foot to help prevent marring your work piece.

This hard rubber pad (foot) replaces the standard pad furnished with the Quick Set Drill Press Hold Down. It provides more surface area to help hold your work piece. V Groves help hold round stock like chair rounds and dowel rod.

Hold-down clamp rotates 360° around the holding bolt. When not in use the clamp slides of the bolt and the bolt drops below the surface. These have a distinct advantage over conventional clamps and vises which function only near the edge of a workbench or table.
