Bolivian Rosewood, or "Morado" as it is more commonly known, is a dense, easily worked wood from Central and South America. Purplish tan in color and streaked with brown or black figure. Walnut like scent. Takes a beautiful natural polish.

Botanic Name Machaerium schleroxylon

Honduras rosewood, this hard, heavy, true rosewood grows in Belize (British Honduras). Although somewhat less variagated in color and grain than some rosewoods, it IS a rosewood and is attractive and works and polishes quite well. Its color, generally some shade of purple, remains stable over time.

Vera Wood or Bulnesia arborea is an evergreen tree native to Colombia and Venezuela. Of the family Zygophyllaceae it is cultivated for its buttery-yellow flowers and valuable hard and heavy timber called Vera Wood or Maracaibo Lignum Vitae. Vera Wood was introduced from Venezuala to South Florida by Dr. David Fairchild.

Black and White Ebony is an exotic wood with color that is reported to vary with species, usually uniformly black with light-colored bands, pale to medium brown zones, or with marked contrast between almost white and black wood. The black heartwood is reported to be more brittle than the lighter colored sapwood.

Koa is a Hawaiian wood with medium brown color. These High grade blanks have good to exceptional curl that sets them apart from the normal Curly Koa.

Emanating From Asia, this is a unique species that is slightly oily like Teak and has a similar musky smell. The wood ages to take on sunset like yellows, oranges, and darker shades with exposure. Sunset wood is truly beautiful in appearance, easy to turn and polishes well. Knots and small burl eyes are present in some boards. Completely wax sealed.
