Food Safe Finish

Food Safe Finish is a clear, food grade mineral oil. We use a thin grade of oil to allow it to soak into bare timber which then protects it against water splashes etc whilst not tainting or affecting the food in any way. It dries to a fairly matt finish; it is however ideal to use for wet sanding and when used with a very fine abrasive it can give an exceptionally smooth surface which has its own gentle glow. Apply with a clean cloth or brush direct onto bare wood, up to three coats are recommended. If the oil sits on the surface and won’t soak in it means the timber has absorbed as much as it can and no further coats are needed. Any surplus can be removed with a clean cloth if required. Depending on the way the item is used it might be necessary to top-up the finish, especially if it is washed regularly.

Dark Finish

Odie's Dark, a rich dark finishing oil, contains natural oxidizing oils that darken wood not only when applied, but also as wood ages. Will also add contrast and patina with age. Use alone or in unison with other Odie's products to add polish and sheen. Instructions for basic Odie's products also apply to all Odie's Dark finishes. The dark depth and rich patina are such that results cannot be duplicated with a stain. Odie's Dark creates incredible contrast. Blacks pop! Use to not only darken any wood when applied, but to also naturally darken wood with age. Great for mahogany and ebony. Will actually get better with age, becoming more durable and beautiful.

What's in the Box?

This convenient starter pack includes 10 white non-woven applicator pads for applying Odie’s Dark to your project. The white non-woven pads are perfect for this since they are a very high grit, smooth abrasive that won’t scratch or leave unsightly marks behind. The pads help you properly work the Odie’s Dark into your workpiece. The 2 terry cloth towels are the ideal towels to use for buffing off your Odie’s Dark once it is dry. Simply fold the towel into a comfortable size for you and your project and buff off the Odie’s Dark going with the grain of your wood for an exceptional sheen and luster. 10 stirring sticks are also included with this pack for stirring the Odie’s Dark. The sticks can also be used to dab more Odie’s Dark on to your project or the applicator pad. Each stick measures approximately 6 inches long and is made from wood.

3 Simple Steps

• Step 1: Saturate a white non-woven pad with Ode's Butter
• Step 2: Apply Odie's Butter in a circular motion or your project. A little butter goes a long way!
• Step 3: Wait 2 hours then buff off the Odie's Butter using a white terry cloth towel

Refresh and Rejuvenate

Contains natural UV inhibitors-sunscreen for wood! Great finish for new wood and can be used to reactivate old wax. Suitable to use over other finishes to refresh and rejuvenate. Works well with a buffer or polisher. A little odie’s wood butter goes a long way. “No solvents" means there is almost nothing to evaporate, so what you put on the wood, stays in the wood. OWB covers many, many times the area of other wood finishes. Up to 20 times the coverage as conventional finishes.
