High Build Friction Polish

Ron Browns High Build Friction polish is among the very best. This is a new version of the classic oil/shellac friction polish, replacing boiled linseed oil with walnut oil. Walnut oil does not cloud the figure of the wood or darken with age. The surface of the work piece should be finish sanded with all sand marks removed. For most work pieces, especially pepper mills, sanding through 1000 grit is the norm. It doesn't take that long with good quality sandpaper and a sanding lubricant like Ron Browns Walnut Finishing Oil (sold separately) to do the trick.

Pen Plus Friction Polish

A blend of purified Walnut Oil, Shellac and micro-aggregated Cosmolloid 80H, a micro crystal wax with exceptional clarity. The microaggregation process produces a friction polish that spreads evenly over the finished surface without organic solvents. Simply add a small amount to the sanded surface and friction polish to produce a high luster finish for pens and many other projects.

Ron Browns Walnut Oil/Carnauba Wax /Shellac Woodturning Finish combines the good sealing properties of the High Build Friction Polish with the protection, shine and restorability of a micro aggregated carnauba wax topcoat. This is a friction polish that produces a hard, restorable finish. Applied to the spinning piece as a first finish or as a redressing application, the project buffs up with a great shine in one step.
