The 1/2" Spindle Gouge is designed for cutting coves in spindle turned work, but these versatile tool can also be used to rough down stock, make V cuts, form beads, and hollow endgrain boxes.

1/4" Spindle Gouge

The 'traditional' turner's tool, the spindle gouge is the workhorse of all but the dedicated bowl turner. Obviously, for spindle turning, such as chair legs, balusters and the like, the spindle gouge is the tool of choice. Standard Spindle HSS Bowl Gouges

These are detailing tools used on between-centre work, where the grain is running parallel to the bed bars.They are used to create coves, beads and other profiles on goblets, vases and egg cups.

• Made from hardened and tempered high speed steel that that will keep a sharpened edge about six times longer than carbon steel
• Steel will resist "blued” softening from overheating during grinding or heavy use
