Bowl Sander Backing Pads |

These backing pads protect your disc holder by mounting between the holder and sanding disc. In the event a disc spins off the holder, the backing pad will prevent damage to the disc holder. These backing pads work with exactly the degree of stiffness and resilience that best suits the job at hand. Designed for Hook & Loop disc and pads. The Soft Backing Pad is designed to use in areas where you need tighter angle sanding and/or for smaller projects. The soft pad can also be used for detail work. The Medium Backing Pad is used on softer angles/curves and can get into the lighter detail work. The medium backing pad gives you a little more stiffness than the soft backing pad, but is softer than the bowl sander mandrel. |

Sanding most anything is a chore that we all don't typically care to do. To make things worse, the sandpaper seems to become useless just after a few strokes. What if you could rejuvenate your sandpaper so you could get a whole lot more mileage out of it? Now you can with our natural rubber cleaning eraser stick! Simply rub the stick across the abrasive surface and watch the dust, crud, resin and natural build up disappear! The natural rubber cleaning eraser stick removes most all of the residue. Use stick after your sander has been clogged with wood dust and/or wood resin to return the sanding surface to a like-new condition

2" Dual Bearing Bowl Sander |

|
When you need to finish sand the inside of your wood turned bowl it can be a challenge to keep the wood from showing scuff marks. Using a piece of hand held sandpaper can also be somewhat dangerous. Our bowl sander essentially fixes this issue by having a dual bearing, smooth rotating head that spins with the rotation of the bowl while the bowl is rotating on the lathe. The 9 inch long handle also helps keep your hands out of harms way. The head assembly is completely adjustable so it can be set to any angle that you need depending on the size and curve of the project.
2" Dual Bearing Bowl Sanderwith 40 assorted discs
We have included the most common diameter sanding head with the bowl sander. This sander head is made from a foam material that gives just enough to provide you with wonderful looking results each time you sand your projects. This 2" head size works well on most bowl turning projects since it can work with larger or smaller work pieces. Also included 10 ea. 80 grit, 10 ea. 120 grit, 10 ea. 150 grit and 10 ea. 220 grit hook and loop sanding discs. 
Dual Bearings Equal Better Performance and Smoother RotationMost handled bowl sanders have maybe one bearing or no bearing at all on the head assembly. Without a bearing, the rotation of the sanding mandrel can get choppy at best when trying to sand while your project is spinning on a lathe. Our bowls sander has two smooth rotating bearings that produce much less friction than sanders without bearings. This means you will achieve much better results finishing your project using our Dual Bearing Bowl Sander 
Keep it moving...One of the keys to properly using these types of sanders, is to keep the tool moving while sanding on a rotating wood lathe. This ensures that the sander doesn't over heat or mistakenly mark you wood. Included with the sander are full color instructions that help guide you with the correct techniques and proper way to use the sander to achieve the best results possible. 
It's All About the Touch...When your project is rotating on your lathe, its already creating friction without touching it. When you start sanding, your essentially doubling the amount of friction and more since the sandpaper grit creates its own friction. When using the bowl sander its all about the touch when sanding on your lathe. Lightly touch the sander to the rotating bowl using the bottom of the sanding disc. Work your way from the rim or lip of your project to the center of the bowl. Once you get the hang of it, you'll be producing wonderfully finished projects in no time! 
Have a Favorite Sander with 1/4" Mandrel?A unique feature is that you can easily swap out sanders by simply loosening the set screw on the main brass bushing. Once loose, you can remove the original sander and either use a different diameter sander or a sander with a 1/4" mandrel that you feel comfortable with. We have included the hex key wrench and an extra short bushing that is used for shorter length sander mandrels. 
40 Discs Clearly MarkedOver the years we noticed many, many customers complaining about the grits in a lot of kits are almost impossible to tell apart. While it is rather difficult to mark each disc clearly on either side, we decided to package each grit in packs of 10 with the grit clearly marked for you to identify each grit in seconds! Features:

It eliminates the unsightly lines often associated with traditional hand sanding. As the disc is spinning it also reduces the clogging of the abrasive. The Sandmaster comes complete with a velcro covered 2" sponge pad which allows for the easy changing of abrasive discs.

The Sandmaster becomes an even more versatile tool when the head is removed and replaced by a pigtail mandrel and goblet or bowl mop.
